Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information Variadoku (variadoku.com) handles and why. In short: you don't have an account, your game progress stays in your own browser, and the only information we receive is anonymous.
Variadoku is run by Zoltan Parti, who is responsible for the processing described here. You can reach us at support@variadoku.com.
What stays on your device
Variadoku saves the following in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off:
- the puzzles in progress and your place on each track
- completion records: times, mistakes and hints used
- your daily-puzzle streaks
- your settings and preferred game mode
None of this is sent to us or anyone else. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it. The puzzles themselves are generated on your device too. Variadoku sets no cookies of its own.
Usage statistics
To learn which variants people play and where they get stuck, Variadoku may count a few game events: a puzzle started, completed or failed, a hint used, a result shared, or the rules opened. With each event we record the page, the variant, the difficulty and game mode and, for a finished puzzle, the time taken and the number of mistakes.
These statistics use no cookies and no identifier, so they can't follow you between visits or across other sites. We don't use them to build profiles, and they are never combined with ad data.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details when your browser asks for a page, and uses them to deliver it and to protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising
Variadoku is free to play, and may show ads served by Google AdSense to pay for itself. Where ads appear:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Children
Variadoku is a general-audience site. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU's GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to its use. Most of what Variadoku handles never leaves your device, and you can delete it yourself by clearing the site's data. For anything else, write to support@variadoku.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
